| This shelter is located next to a well-traveled road in Gold Butte and it appears to have been used from ancient times through historic times by those seeking shelter from the heat or needing a place to spend the night. The dimensions are approximately 10' deep, by 10' wide, and about 7' high at the center of the entrance, and it has a ceiling vent for smoke (3rd row 2nd photo). For some perspective, the stick standing upright against the rear wall (3rd row 1st photo) is approximately 3' long. |
